Missouri Soybean Association Legislative Welcome and Annual Meeting Set
Missouri soybean growers’ annual gathering at the Capitol will close out the first month of 2017. January 30 and 31, Missouri’s soybean farmer leaders will gather in Jefferson City to meet with legislators, industry partners and one another.
The Missouri Soybean Association’s events will kick off Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. with the welcome reception for Missouri’s elected leaders. Representatives, senators and statewide office holders, as well as all soybean association members are invited to the reception at the Merchants Building in downtown Jefferson City, which runs until 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday morning, the annual meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. in House Hearing Room 2 of Missouri’s Capitol building. The meeting will include recognition of Missouri’s soybean yield contest winners, and remarks from Missouri Soybean Association president Matt McCrate, and Donnell Rehagen, CEO of the National Biodiesel Board. Attendees will also receive updates from Missouri’s departments of Agriculture and Natural Resources. After the morning meeting, Missouri’s soybean farmers will be in the Capitol to visit with their legislators.
The meeting Tuesday morning is open to the public and free to members of the Missouri Soybean Association and invited guests.
