(Jefferson City, Mo.)—The Missouri Soybean Association (MSA) proudly announces the winners of the 2025 Yield Contest, celebrating the exceptional achievements of the state’s soybean farmers. This year’s competition showcased remarkable yields, underscoring the dedication and innovation prevalent among Missouri’s agricultural community.
In the conventional till (dryland) category, Tim Brand of Chariton County secured top honors with an impressive yield of 105.42 bushels per acre, utilizing Asgrow 40XF1 beans. In the irrigated category, 4L Ag of New Madrid County in District 7 achieved a yield of 98.99 bushels per acre with their Asgrow 48XF2 variety beans.
“The season challenged growers, but they still showed up for the 2025 yield contest,” said Dylan Anderson, field services manager for Missouri Soybeans. “While August dryness limited yields, the quality of entries and overall participation speaks to the commitment of Missouri soybean farmers.”
The MSA Yield Contest serves as a platform to recognize and reward the hard work and ingenuity of Missouri’s soybean producers. By fostering a spirit of friendly competition, the contest encourages the adoption of innovative practices and continuous improvement in soybean cultivation.
“The MSA Yield Contest exemplifies the hard work that Missouri soybean growers put in all season long,” shared Renee Fordyce, MSA President. “Not only does it showcase strong stewardship of the land, but it also highlights the innovation and out-of-the-box thinking our farmers are known for.”
State winners will be honored at the upcoming MSA Annual Meeting in Jefferson City on January 26, 2026. District winners will be recognized at winter meetings throughout the state.
