Missouri’s soybean farmers have voted to endorse Mike Parson for Governor, supporting a long-time leader and friend of agriculture. Missouri’s soybean farmers stood alongside the Governor in his announcement in Bolivar today (Sunday, September 8) and look forward to continuing to work closely with him and his team.
“The Missouri Soybean Association is proud to endorse Mike Parson for Governor for his steadfast leadership and commitment to our state, said C. Brooks Hurst, a farmer from Tarkio and president of the Missouri Soybean Association.” Missouri Soybean farmers have worked with Mike Parson for years, and we appreciate his dedication to farm families. He truly gets it, and we’re all stronger thanks to his support of rural communities, infrastructure and opportunities like biodiesel.”
Key to the Missouri Soybean Association board of directors’ decision was Parson’s understanding of and dedication to agriculture and rural communities, including his support for much-needed transportation infrastructure and growing Missouri’s production and use of biodiesel. The consistency with which he has supported farmers on those, and many other issues was noted by the Missouri Soybean Association’s board of directors in their unanimous vote to endorse Mike Parson for Governor in 2020.
The Missouri Soybean Association has been soybean growers’ voice on policy for more than 50 years. To learn more about how the Missouri Soybean Association works on behalf of Missouri soybean farmers, visit mosoy.org.
