Priority projects grow demand for soy and address challenges facing soybean producers.
(Jefferson City, MO) — The Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council is now accepting proposals for work to improve the future for soy beginning in 2021. All project plans should address opportunities for research, education or growing demand for soy, and directly impact Missouri soybean growers.
Missouri’s soybean farmers have supported research and education work through their checkoff for more than thirty years. Previously funded work includes research into biodiesel, flood and drought-tolerance in soybeans and high oleic soybean oil, as well as herbicide-resistant soybean varieties.
