What Amounts of Whole Soybeans can be Included in Diets to Optimize Lactation, Ruminal Fermentation and Methane Emissions in Lactating Dairy Cows?

Gathering data to determine optimal levels of feed intake

About this research project

MoSoy Investment = $55,000

The goal of this project is to determine amounts of whole soybeans needed to optimize lactation and digest from both conventional and high oleic varieties. Additionally, they will evaluate the amounts of whole soybeans from conventional and high oleic varieties impact methane emissions from dairy cows. There is recent data that whole soybeans are not as limited as previously thought, but more data is needed to determine optimal levels of feed intake. There are 9.3 million head of dairy cows in the United States.
