Carley McLean

Carley McLean serves as the Associate Director of Policy and Market Development for Missouri Soybeans, where she works alongside farmer leaders, policymakers and industry partners to advance state and federal policy priorities while expanding market opportunities for Missouri soybean farmers. In her role, she helps lead policy engagement, strengthen advocacy efforts and support initiatives that increase profitability and create new opportunities for Missouri agriculture.

Before joining Missouri Soybeans, McLean spent nearly a decade in Washington, D.C., building extensive experience in agricultural policy. She most recently served on the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry under Chairman John Boozman, where she led Farm Bill negotiations related to commodity programs, standing disaster programs and crop insurance. Her career also includes serving as a legislative assistant for former U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler and working with the U.S. Grains Council to support international agricultural biotechnology education. A native of Boonville, Missouri, McLean earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education with an emphasis in leadership from the University of Missouri. She now resides in Tipton, Missouri, with her husband and their daughter, where they enjoy being part of Missouri’s agricultural community.
