The staff of the Missouri Soybean Association and Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council work on a number of events throughout the year, both as hosts and in partnership with our fellow ag organizations and other groups. Missouri DNR Pesticide Collection Event – Columbia

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host a Pesticide Collection Event Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Missouri Soybean Association’s Bay Farm Research Facility, 5601 S. Rangeline Rd., Columbia. Individuals may bring pesticides, including: herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, dewormers, fly tags and fertilizer containing pesticides. Save the Date: Soil Health and Conservation Field Day

A Soil Health and Conservation Field Day is being planned for September 12 at the Bay Farm Research Facility, jointly sponsored by Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council and Missouri Corn. The day will highlight efforts including Cover crop management, Soil erosion control, Water quality monitoring, Panel of Conservation leaders, and Highlight research efforts throughout Missouri. Missouri is a leader in conservation and this event will demonstrate the many projects, programs and practices going on in Missouri to protect our precious soil resources. Growers, industry partners and other attendees will learn more about what Missouri farmers, Missouri Corn and Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, State and Federal Agencies, the University of Missouri, and their partners are doing to conserve and enhance soil health. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the program starting at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided. Join the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, along with partners from the University of Missouri, for a day of speakers and Q&A at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center in Chillicothe.
