About Matt
Matt Amick is the Director of Market Development for the Missouri Soybean Association and Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council. He also serves as the Executive Director for the Biodiesel Coalition of Missouri. In his position at Missouri Soybeans, Matt builds demand for Missouri soybeans and creates business development opportunities for soybean farmers in-state and around the globe.
Matt’s favorite part about the work he does is helping create demand for soybeans, knowing that more demand equals a positive impact on the farmer’s bottom line. He knows the work the checkoff is doing to “move the pile” is important for farmers. In his work, Matt is passionate about the programs and projects that help promote and build demand for soybeans.
Matt is a graduate of Truman State University with a degree in business administration, marketing and management. He was raised on a cattle farm in Jefferson City, Missouri, and has previously worked with industry partners such as the U.S. Grains Council and the Missouri Corn Growers Association. He currently lives in Jefferson City with his wife, Kate, and kids, Allison, Maier and William.
